With just a little more than a week left until the European Brass Band Championships, Brass Band Willebroek organizes a try-out concert with the support of Utrecht Brass and Brass Band Schoonhoven. The concert will take place on Sunday the 29th of April in the ZIMIHC theatre Zuilen in Utrecht (NL).
At 15h30 Brass Band Schoonhoven A with their guest conductor Russell Gray will open the concert. During the EBBC Schoonhoven will accompany the finalists of this year's soloist competition. Our own principal Lode Violet and percussionist Kjell De Raes are both competitors in this competition.
After a short break, Brass Band Willebroek, holding the Belgian and world title, will take the stage to present their contest programme amongst with some other pieces. The programme exists obviously of the set test piece Time for Outrage! and their own-choise test piece. This is the last concert before the last straight line into this year's EBBC and on Friday 4th and Saturday 5th of May they once again hope to be part of the top of European banding.
