The multiple title winning Belgian band claims yet another major accolade in recognition of its achievements.
Brass Band Willebroek has been presented with a Flemish Ultima Award for Culture.
The citation in the 2022 Amateur Arts category that accompanied the award to the multiple Belgian and European Champion stated that the were, "an established name at the highest international level an amateur orchestra can achieve.
The jury agrees that their projects make a valuable contribution to the cultural sector and are an example in their selflessness for other initiatives."

The Ultima Awards recognise people, organisations and companies that excel in 13 different area of the arts and culture sector — including visual arts, architecture, film, music and performing arts. Since their formation in 1979 Brass Band Willebroek has become one of the brass band world's leading ensembles — their remarkable contesting success under their inspirational founding conductor Frans Violet complemented by numerous artistic achievements.
Initiatives
Twice World Champion, three times European Champion and 22 times Belgian Champion, they now support a flourishing youth band and Academy, solo competition and numerous specialised project initiatives such as their musical pop-up restaurant concerts.
