On Saturday March 18, 2017 Brassband Willebroek organizes its annual Double Concert in the Municipal Theater in Willebroek. Traditionally, it is also this year with BBW's training orchestra, Young Brass Band Willebroek.
You will once again be able to enjoy a spectacular program with premieres, solo works by Tim De Maeseneer & Kevin Van Giel with numerous recent compositions by Simon Dobson, Roger Derongé, Daniel Hall, Christopher Bond, Eric Ball, Peter Graham and so on. This of course led by recently appointed Honorary Citizen of Willebroek, Frans Violet.
Both orchestras are in preparation for their respective competition. Young Brass Band Willebroek will defend its title at the European Youth Brass Band Championships 2017 in Ostend with the set test piece Dimensions by Peter Graham. Brassband Willebroek has also recently been invited by the European Brass Band Association to the European Brass Band Championships 2017, due to cancellations of the Scottish and Swedish brass bands. YBBW & BBW will once again be representative on the European stage, and you can already hear them both at work at the Double Concert!
