Brass Band Willebroek is honoured to perform at the project Tielen Muziekdorp. This project is founded by the city council and arts council of Kasterlee, Belgium. This initiative has the purpose to promote music with the local population. They do this by asking local bands and musicians to perform at this venue. Projects and bands where local people play are also asked to perform, that’s how they got with Brass Band Willebroek.
The program is filled with music from beloved composers like Gavin Higgins, Rodney Newton, Christopher Bond and even Paganini. Brass Band Willebroek supports young composers by playing their music. This time a piece by young Belgian composer Nick Van Elsen will be performed that evening. The soloists from the band will also get the chance to let their lyrical or virtuosic voice speak.
Brass Band Willebroek is currently preparing herself for the Belgian Brass Band Championships at the end of november in Heist-Op-Den-Berg. In Tielen they will give their first shot of their own choice piece. A reason more to come in big numbers this saturday in Tielen.
