Brassband Willebroek achieved a second place at the Belgian Brassband Championship. Despite a good execution of the own choice work, rewarded with a score of 97%, it was therefore not possible to win the twentieth title. Brassband Buizingen will participate in the European Brassband Championship in Lille as the winner of the set test piece and own choice work.
Young Brassband Willebroek will, however, travel to Lille to defend its title in the Premier Section of the European Youth Brassband Championships.
All England Masters International Brass Band Championship 2016
Brassband Willebroek started looking for other competitions in the spring and their eye fell on The All England Masters International Brass Band Championship 2016 in Kettering, UK. Due to too many obligations with the musicians, there will be no participation in the Flemish Open Brass Band Championships in Mechelen.
