This evening, the city council of Willebroek will be awarding the title of honorary citizen to Frans Violet. You are all invited at the ceremony that will follow the council meeting of October 25th, 21.00 o'clock at the Council Hall of the Old City Hall of Willebroek, August van Landeghemstraat 99, Willebroek.
Honorary citizenship is only awarded to people who have performed a unique achievement or have lived there life in a very special and remarkable way. Frans Violet without question has done all of the above. As founder and conductor of Brassband Willebroek and Young Brassband Willebroek, he succeeded to create two worldclass ensembles. Because of this artistic achievement which he has been able to uphold for years; Frans is a steady contribution to the positive reputation of Willebroek. The city board would like to thank him by awarding him the title of Honorary Citizen.
