On Wednesday 22 June, Jan De Maeseneer and our own Principal Euphonium, Kevin Van Giel, will complete their master's thesis in hafabra conducting in the Concert Hall of the Lemmens Institute in Leuven.
Jan De Maeseneer kicks off at 8 p.m. with the Alumni Harmonieorkest Leuven, special guest for the performance is pianist Anna Gasparova. Kevin Van Giel and Brassband Willebroek will perform some challenging works such as Peter Graham's Summon the Dragon, Penlee by Simon Dobson and, as the main piece, Philip Sparke's masterpiece, The Year of the Dragon. In addition, Principal Cornet, Lode Violet, will perform Stan Nieuwenhuis' virtuoso Fortune's Fool.
